Student Council

Enchanted Lake Student Council is comprised of student leaders from third to sixth grade. Each year our student body participates in a General Election to vote for our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All runner-ups are selected to be a part of our Executive Council. Our Executive Council is comprised of various department heads who take the lead in planning and organizing school wide activities, fund-raisers, assemblies, and community service projects. In addition to our Student Council Officers every class from 3rd-6th grade has a Classroom Representative.

This year, we have 29 Student Council leaders. Student Council meets every Monday and Wednesday in order to discuss, collaborate, and plan all school-wide activities. We have hit the ground running and are planning activities.

Here is a snapshot of past and upcoming events:

ELTC Camp

In October, our Student Council Officers and Representatives from Grades 4-6 attended Elementary Leadership Training Camp (ELTC). This year the theme was, “The Game of Leadership”. Student leaders from Kailua High and Kailua Intermediate worked together to facilitate and mentor elementary students from five different elementary schools from the Kailua-Kalaheo complex. Our student leaders attended various workshops and learned about leading with creativity, resilience, focus, positivity, and strategy.

Halloween

Student Council also teamed up with PTA in hosting our second annual Halloween Hustle. The Haunted Maze and Zombie Dash were another amazing success. Thank you to all our students, teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who make this event possible. It takes a village...of zombies…to make Halloween a night to remember!

Student Council also hosted a school-wide Character Day on October 31. Our student body came dressed to impress in their costumes to get ready for a night of trick-or-treating. We also had a school-wide Pumpkin Painting Contest--an awesome way to show off our creativity and school spirit!

Student Council hosted their first school dance of the year--and students from Grades 4-6 were able to dress in their costume, dance, and socialize with their friends.

Holiday Spirit Week

In December, our Student Council planned a Holiday Spirit Week. It was awesome to see all the students, teachers, and staff so festive, merry, and bright. Students and teachers went all out for the Holiday Movie Door Decorating Contest. Mahalo to our students, faculty, and staff for making our campus so festive!

Student Council also hosted the second school dance of the year. Over 120 students, participated in the school dance. It was filled with lots of singing, dancing, and holiday cheer to kick-off Winter Break!

Please check back for updates on all of the exciting activities organized by your very own Student Leaders!
